Health Ministry forms 5-member body to probe HIV AIDS infection

Amid hike in HIV/AIDS cases across the country, Ministry of Health has decided to strictly implement infection control measures in hospitals, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

Federal Ministry of Health forms 5-member committee for infection control. The committee will review the issues of infection control, safe syringes and provincial linkages in hospitals. Director Programs of the Ministry of Health Dr. Sofia appointed as the head of the committee. DRAP representative Dr. Ghazanfar Ali, head of EPI Dr. Musa Khan, Dr. Naseem Akhtar of PIMS and Dr. Sabeen of Polyclinic are included in the committee members. The committee will prepare recommendations on HIV prevention and protective measures.
