Zhalay Sarhadi clarifies her stance on Esra Bilgic controversy
Earlier, a video clip of television actress of Zhalay Sarhadi got viral on social media platforms. In the video clip, she said that hiring Turkish drama Ertugrul Ghazi’s Esra Bilgic as the brand ambassador of Jazz and QMobile is a slap on our faces.
In a statement, Zhalay said, “We have short term gains. If you have chosen Halima and made her a brand ambassador over here, it’s a slap to our faces. It’s an actual slap to our faces. Why are you borrowing a star from another country?” “Why don’t you create anything over here? Why are you afraid of creation?” she asked. Zhalay also praised Esra Bilgic and said, “She is amazing, nobody is taking her stardom away from her.”
However, now she has come forward to clarify her point. In her latest video, she said: “I said slap for those people who don’t promote our content and actors. The reason why I always talk about the economy is that if our jobs would be given to our own people it would be beneficial for Pakistan. Do you think giving our tax money to foreign actors in double currently is right thing?”
