Lahore CCPO Ghulam Mehmood Dogar said that a rickshaw driver and his accomplice accused rapists of mother and daughter have been arrested in a swift action, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

He was addressing a press conference in Lahore along with DIG Investigation Sarik Jamal Khan and SP (Investigations) Saddr Muhammad Isa Khan. 

Lahore CCPO said that the rickshaw driver and his co-rapist allegedly raped a mother and her daughter, both hailed from Vehari. 

The mother and daughter after reaching Tokhar Niaz Baig from Vehari, booked a rickshaw from Thokhar Niaz Baig via LDA  Avenue for Cant to meet their relatives.

Ghulam Mehmood Dogar revealed that both accused were criminals and wanted in various other cases as well. The rickshaw driver Umar Farooq was a habitual rapist. Lahore’s top cop said that the prime accused in facilitation with his accomplice Mansab Ali gang-raped the victims in LDA  Avenue and managed to flee away from the scene. 

“DSP Chung Javed Sadiq raided with his team and traced the accused with the help of the latest technology,” he added.
