The government has given another relief to the importers as it has allowed the clearance of the luxury items that arrived in the country till August 18, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

A notification was issued by the trade ministry after the approval of the federal cabinet and clearance was allowed on cars, mobile phones and home appliances till the 18th of August.

However, the clearance of these items can only be made after paying a 100% fine on these items.

Earlier, the government had imposed a ban on the import of luxury items from May 19 to August 19.

These permissions were granted from the 1st till the 18th of August only on the condition that the imports reach the Pakistani Sea ports.
