Khana Farhang Lahore Director General Jafar Ronas Tuesday said that Lahore Art Council is promoting and disseminating the art and culture of the country in an effort to keep them alive and improve the socioeconomic conditions of the artists. 

According to 24 News HD TV Channel, he was talking at the closing ceremony of the souvenir design competition held at the Cultural Complex Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday as a special guest. 

Twelve students from different districts of Punjab participated in the souvenir design competition organized by Lahore Art Council. 

On the occasion, students participating in the souvenir design competition also exhibited various handmade items for the Alhamra Art Museum. 

Jafar Ronas distributed cash prizes among the winning students while shields and certificates were also distributed among the dignities.

Alhamra Art Cultural Complex Director Naveed Bukhari and Lahore Art Council Executive Director Farhat Jabeen were also present on the occasion. 

Farhat Jabeen said that art can be promoted only by encouraging children.
