Amanda Bynes debuts new look after Kylie Jenner-promoted lip filler procedure
Amanda Bynes has unveiled her latest transformation, debuting a fuller pout after undergoing a lip filler procedure. The 39-year-old former Nickelodeon star, best known for her roles in She’s The Man and Hairspray, revealed the results through a short video on her Instagram Stories on Friday.
In the clip, Bynes could be seen sitting inside a car while highlighting her newly plumped lips. She added a caption that read: “Lips injections by @body.byem”.
The actress kept her look casual, wearing a halter-style white top with her hair pulled back, allowing her followers to focus on her latest cosmetic change.
Bynes’ decision to get lip fillers is the latest in a series of cosmetic procedures she has openly discussed. In 2023, she revealed she underwent blepharoplasty, a surgery that removes excess skin from the eyelids, calling it 'one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence'.
The actress has been candid about her insecurities over the years. In a 2018 interview with Paper Magazine, she admitted she went into a depression after her appearance in She’s The Man (2006), explaining that playing a boy with short hair and sideburns left her unsettled.
Her insecurities contributed to struggles with drug addiction, including the use of Adderall for weight loss. These challenges, coupled with legal issues such as DUI arrests and psychiatric hospitalisations, eventually led to her being placed under a nine-year conservatorship, which ended in 2022.
Earlier this year, Bynes spoke about her ongoing weight concerns, revealing that she had started Ozempic to aid her weight loss journey.
In June, she shared her excitement on Instagram: “Oh, I’m going on Ozempic. I’m 173 now, so I hope to get down to like 130, which would be awesome so I look better in paparazzi pictures.”
She has previously documented fluctuations in her weight, admitting to gaining over 20 pounds during a depressive period in 2023, before later announcing progress on her health journey with a six-pound loss.
Reality star Kylie Jenner has often credited the procedure for boosting her confidence, once calling it “the best thing I’ve ever done.” Bynes now joins the growing list of Hollywood personalities who openly share their experiences with such procedures, challenging the stigma around cosmetic enhancements.
After stepping back from Hollywood, Bynes has kept fans updated through social media about her personal and professional ventures. In April this year, she surprised followers by announcing her decision to join OnlyFans, clarifying that her content would remain non-explicit and would mainly serve as a platform to interact with fans directly.
