Court extends Ducky Bhai’s physical remand in online gambling promotion case
A Lahore court has handed over Ducky Bhai to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) National Cyber Crime Wing on an additional five-day physical remand in connection with a case involving the alleged promotion of online gambling applications, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
The YouTuber was produced before the judicial magistrate’s court on Saturday, where FIA officials sought more time to interrogate him. Accepting the request, the court extended his physical custody, directing FIA to present him again after the completion of remand.
Ducky Bhai, who enjoys millions of followers on YouTube and other social platforms, was arrested at the Lahore Airport on August 17. An FIR was registered against him the same day under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 and sections of the Pakistan Penal Code.
According to FIA investigators, Rehman allegedly promoted several online gambling platforms, including Binomo, 1xBet, Bet365 and B9 Game, through his YouTube content.

Officials claim that these promotions encouraged viewers to invest money in gambling schemes, some of which are linked to international syndicates.
The FIA submitted a list of 27 video links in the court as part of its evidence, although many of those links have since been removed or are inaccessible.
The FIA is now investigating whether the YouTuber had financial arrangements with these gambling companies or whether the promotions were part of paid collaborations.

The agency also maintains that such promotions fall under illegal online betting practices, which are prohibited in Pakistan.
Ducky Bhai’s arrest has sparked widespread debate on social media. While some argue that his promotions misled young audiences into gambling activities, others see the move as an excessive crackdown on digital creators.
