Melbourne Stars to honor Haris Rauf at MCG
Melbourne Stars will honor Haris Rauf in the next season of BBL with a dedicated fan stand named "House of Rauf", reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
Haris Rauf, who has been part of the Stars setup since 2019, has been one of the most trusted names in Pakistan’s pace attack. Melbourne Stars GM Max Abbott said the initiative celebrates Pakistani fans and their culture, we want Pakistani fans to come, enjoy our matches, and showcase their heritage.
Max Abbott said that Haris has been an incredible ambassador for the Stars and we love having the passionate support from the Pakistani community that he has played a huge role in generating. The initiative is designed to strengthen the bond between the franchise and its South Asian supporters.
Rauf’s impact in the BBL has been remarkable. In just 22 matches for the Stars, he has taken 36 wickets, including his career-best figures of 5/27 against Hobart Hurricanes during his debut season in 2019–20. He also recorded his only T20 hat-trick, making an instant mark in the league in that same season.
