Punjab govt decides to build six Aqua business hubs

Punjab government has decided to build six aqua business hubs across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Aqua business hubs will comprise modern fish hatcheries, feed chains, processing units and cold storages. The modern business centers will be established in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Wazirabad, Sheikhupura and Khanewal. 

The each center will cost Rs 5 billion and the projects will be built in phases during a two-year period. 

Aqua business hubs also included value-added units, research and training centers and water tourism zones. 

According to the fisheries department, more than 16 species of fish can be farmed in the local environment in Punjab. These schemes will be included in the budget on the instructions of Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz.
