PM Imran Khan directs police to play its role to uplift country

Prime Minister Imran Khan addressing the passing out parade of Islamabad Police held at Police Line Headquarters Islamabad said police have a pivotal role in the uplift of the country by creating a sense of security among its citizens, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived at Police Line Headquarters, Islamabad and paid homage to the martyrs of the police and laid a wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial.
The Prime Minister said all Islamabad Police personnel will be given health cards and houses in the government’s Naya Pakistan Housing Project. He expressed his regret that police did not gain such a place in society after decades because in the British rule Police were used for wrongdoings.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said police have a pivotal role in the uplift of the country by creating a sense of security among its citizens. He said peace and security are prerequisites to progress and prosperity. The Prime Minister said a peaceful environment builds trust of investors and they make investments.
Imran Khan said the PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa changed police, and people there now own and give due respect to the police.
He said he wants to see similar changed police in the entire country.
The Prime Minister said the government has secured a major achievement on the economic front by turning the country's current account deficit in surplus for the fifth consecutive month after seventeen years.
He said the government has been pursuing the policy controlling expenditures in view of the country's debt. He said the expenses of the Prime Minister House have been reduced by 60 percent. Similarly, he said the expenditures of the federal government have also been decreased
Imran Khan assured the Islamabad Police personnel that he will talk to the Finance Minister on the matter of increasing the salary of Islamabad Police equal to Punjab Police.
“The nation should be patient, we will increase the salaries of all departments as Pakistan will be creating more wealth,” the Prime Minister further added.
Prime Minister sharing his past experiences said he rejected the offers of playing cricket in South Africa during the Apartheid regime and also rejected the match-fixing offer in the first test match against India. He advised Islamabad Police to give respect to common citizens and consider them as VIPs.
Without naming any politician, Imran Khan said those who opted for wrongdoing and now these politicians are going to hospitals and some are going abroad to save their looted money.
