Killing of four men in Zhob by CTD sparks protest

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), in an operation in Zhob, Balochistan on Wednesday, killed four people besides injuring two others allegedly in an encounter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the Levies, the personnel of the CTD raided a house in Kali Shahab Zai area to arrest the persons wanted by the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) in connection with the incidents of murder and kidnappings of civilians.
The Force said that on seeing the personnel, the suspects fired at them, forcing the latter to return the fire. “Resultantly, son and nephew of Kalu Khan and his two gunmen were killed while two others were wounded who were rushed to the CMH for treatment.
The incident led to a protest by the family members of the slain persons, who blocked the Quetta-Zhob highway for traffic by placing the bodies of their loved ones on the road.
On the other hand, Deputy Commissioner Zhob Bilal Ramzan said that he was seeking details of the operation from the CTD. “Apart from that, police and Levies personnel are also investigating the incident,” he elaborated.
