PCB may shift PSL matches from Lahore, Rawalpindi to Karachi

February 24, 2023 11:44 AM

The remaining matches of Pakistan Super League 8 (PSL) are most likely to be held in Karachi instead of Lahore and Rawalpindi as Punjab Government sent Rs500 million bills for security and lighting, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) called an emergency meeting tomorrow to consult franchises over the matter of holding the remaining PSL matches in Karachi.

Punjab caretaker government sent lighting and security bills worth Rs50 million to the PCB.

The PCB has already paid Rs50 million for providing food to the security personnel. In Karachi, such expenses are not to be borne for holding matches there.

The Sindh government only asked for Rs30 million for the security forces’ food and PCB is thinking to hold the remaining matches in Karachi just to save expenses.
