Police resolve woman’s murder mystery in Lahore
In a breakthrough, police arrested a man who is involved in the gruesome murder of his female cousin in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation City Farhad Abbas said that the accused killed his cousin a few days ago. The victim was identified as 32-year-old Nimra, a resident of the Shafiqabad area of Lahore.
SP Farhat Abbas said that the accused snatched Rs1 million from the woman, stabber her to death and escaped from the scene.
SP Investigation further said that the woman’s husband was not present in the house at the time of the crime, as he had gone to see a doctor for his mother’s medical check-up.
Nimra and her two-year-old son were alone at the house. SP Investigation said that during the robbery, Nimra recognized the accused, after which the accused decided to kill her and repeatedly attacked her with a knife and fled.
SP Investigation Shafiqabad Police Station Shahzaib Kamboh said that police arrested the accused with the help of human intelligence and professionalism. Police also recovered the looted amount from the possession of the accused.
