Shaista Lodhi challenges fans with poll against Fahad Mustafa
In a light hearted social media moment that has fans laughing and debating, renowned Pakistani television star Shaista Lodhi sparked a playful comparison in a Instagram story with fellow celebrity Fahad Mustafa, asking followers to decide who looks “ziada chamkila” (more sparkly).
Taking to her Instagram account, Shaista shared a side-by-side snapshot of herself and Fahad Mustafa, both dressed up on what appears to be a TV studio set.
A poll overlay read in Roman Urdu, “Ab btayen kon ziada chamkila?”, ( You tell who is looking more sparkly), inviting fans to vote between “Fahad” and “Shaista” as the sparkliest star of the moment.

Visually, the contrast was striking. On the left, Fahad Mustafa was dressed in a bold, high fashion black kurta with wide-leg trousers, his look amplified by reflective sequins and mirror like details that lived up to the sparkle theme.
He accessorised with clear frame glasses, a luxury timepiece, and polished black dress shoes that gave his ensemble a charismatic edge.

On the right, Shaista opted for classic monochrome elegance a black and white embroidered long kameez paired with a matching dupatta.
Her look was refined and graceful, accented with minimal jewellery and chic black pointed toe heels with ankle straps.
Both looks were undeniably stylish but in very different ways, prompting lively fan engagement on social media.

Shaista Lodhi’s career spans over two decades, beginning in the early 2000s and establishing her as one of Pakistan’s most familiar television personalities.
A trained MBBS doctor by education, she has worn many hats from hosting top morning shows like Good Morning Pakistan and Utho Jago Pakistan to acting in acclaimed dramas such as Waada and Pardes.
Along the way, she has also managed to build a reputation as a dedicated mother, entrepreneur, and skincare specialist with her own aesthetics clinic.

Her journey has not been without controversy. Shaista faced intense backlash in 2014 after hosting an on-screen wedding segment that was criticised by religious groups, leading to public outcry and even a temporary departure from the country.
More recently, she weathered social media speculation about cosmetic changes to her appearance and public scrutiny over lively segments on popular shows.
Despite the ups and downs, Shaista remains a prominent figure on Pakistani television, known for her elegance, poise and ability to engage audiences whether through a sparkly poll or a serious interview.
