17 test positive for Covid-19 at Faisalabad airport

Following detection of the coronavirus pandemic in 13 passengers at Faisalabad International Airport on Sunday morning, four more were diagnosed with the virus in the evening, taking the total number of infected passengers to 17, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
These passengers, who had to leave for Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi via different flights, were barred from travelling after they tested positive for the virus.
Five passengers, who had arrived at the airport to catch a flight for Abu Dhabi, turned out to be infected with the virus; similarly seven heading to Dubai also tested positive, while four people who had to leave for Sharjah were also diagnosed with the coronavirus.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) officials, all these 17 people would now quarantine themselves at their homes.
