DHO says 10 more educational institutions to be sealed in Islamabad

Deputy Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad Dr Zaeem Zia on Sunday said that nine more schools and one college are being sealed in the city due to an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
DHO has sent a letter to the Deputy Commissioner in this regard informing him about the details of the said schools and colleges.
According to the letter, it has been decided to seal Islamabad Model College for Boys Chak Shahzad after the report of COVID -19 cases.
It has been decided to seal Islamabad Model School for Girls, Islamabad Model School G6/4, and Islamabad Model School for Boys Bhara Kahu due to a surge in COVID-19 cases.
According to DHO, Islamabad Model School for Girls I-8/1, Islamabad Model School for Girls G11/1, Islamabad Model School for Girls G-8/2, Islamabad Model School for Girls G-6/1-3 will also be sealed.
Other schools include Islamabad Model School for Girls Dana Pind Begwal, Islamabad Model School for Boys Chattar.
The letter directed the administration to close the affected educational institutions till further orders, conduct contact tracing and testing in them, and the federal administration to conduct tests on people close to positive students.
It is pertinent to mention that more than 50 educational institutions have been closed in the country’s capital due to the rise in the cases of COVID-19.
