The reason why people frequently complain about the shortage of medicines at government hospitals has now become apparent as a man keeping stock of the medicines at a government hospital at Kot Diji, in district Khairpur, Sindh has sold these to a junkman rather than giving them to the patients, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Sources have told 24News TV channel that the medical superintendent (MS) of the hospital has throughout remained unaware about the storekeeper’s wrongdoing.
MS Dr Karamat has told this correspondent that the sale of medicines of worth millions of rupees is not in his knowledge.
The concerned authorities, too, have not taken notice of the drugs’ sale as yet.
