PM urges int’l efforts to avoid Afghan humanitarian crisis

Prime Minister Imran Khan has joined the international effort to create awareness regarding an impending human crisis in Afghanistan which is staring the country in the shape of starvation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Prime Minister Khan on Sunday shared a trending hashtag ‘#SaveAfghanLives’ on his twitter handle. He wrote: “I will add my voice also and want people to join an international initiative to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Afghanistan, putting at risk of starvation millions of Afghans, especially children. #SaveAfghanLives”

Imran Khan is constantly raising his voice urging the international community to provide immediate humanitarian relief to millions of Afghans who are facing hunger.
In his tweets posted on Saturday, the PM stated: “There is an urgency for the international community, as well as their obligation under the unanimously adopted UN principle of Responsibility To Protect (R2P), to provide immediate humanitarian relief to millions of Afghans on the brink of starvation.”
