Levelling serious allegations against the former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Federal Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Sindh President Ali Zaidi said on Sunday that his (Zardari) deputy Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had destroyed the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference at the residence of PTI leader Tahir Shah in Rohri, he repeated his party’s claim that the PTI would inflict a humiliating defeat on PPP in the next general elections to be held in 2023. “Mark my words, PPP will be eliminated from Sindh in the next general elections since people are not with them and they lie when they say they represent people of the province,” he claimed.
“They have done nothing for the masses during the last 14 years of their rule in Sindh,” Zaidi said, adding now their performance lay exposed.
The PPP government in Sindh, the minister added, had received Rs12,000 billion in funds. “Will it (Sindh government) please tell us where this huge sum was spent?” he questioned.
Zaidi accused the PPP government of treating the Sindh Police like its private army.
PTI Sindh president said, on one hand, the PPP prided itself on the 18th Amendment, while on the other it had introduced what he called a ‘Black’ local bodies’ law in the province. “If this law is not repealed, the PTI will march from Rohri to Karachi on February 27,” he warned.
He also rubbished reports of the introduction of presidential system in the country as mere rumours. “At least, this is not in my knowledge,” he told media.
