Six passengers died and several others were injured when the van they were travelling in fell into a ditch in the Balloki area of Kahna in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The victims included four children and two women. The family in the van was a resident of Chungi Amar Sadhu.

The victim's family was returning home from a wedding in Raiwind. Police and rescue teams are on the scene, rescue operations are underway.

On the other hand, a woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband at Sugar Gate Mill Jhumra Road in Faisalabad on Sunday.

Rescue handed over the victim’s body to Millat Town Police after the initial operation.

According to the rescue official, the locals say that the couple first started arguing and then the husband suddenly stabbed her.

Police also launched an investigation into the matter.
