Second shipment of Russian wheat to reach Karachi tomorrow

The second consignment of wheat from Russia will reach Port Qasim on 24th January, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
A total of 1.8 million sacks of wheat are yet to arrive at Karachi from Russia.
The Sindh government had purchased 3.3 million bags of wheat from Russia owing to the severe wheat crisis in Sindh. Following that, 12,30,000 sacks of wheat had already docked at Karachi Port.
Meanwhile, another ship carrying 6.3 million sacks of wheat will reach Port Qasim. Besides that, 600,000 sacks were received from Karachi Port Trust (KPT).
The entire supply of wheat will be completed by February 25.
This year, the Sindh government will buy 1.4 million metric tonnes of wheat at a cost of Rs3,000 per maund.
