Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Friday that the party workers would remain vigilant on July 25 (on the day of elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir) to make sure that elections were not rigged, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
She said teams had been constituted across AJK to monitor the polling process, and for that PML-N activists and leaders had been assigned duties. “These teams will then report to a special cell any irregularity or malpractice they notice during the polling,” she said and made it clear that this time the party would make it sure that neither ‘fog’ nor the prolonged absence of election staff became an excuse for the authorities to tamper with the election results as was the case in Daska by-election.
Marriyum said each and every citizen of AJK would not only cast his or her vote on July 25, but would also guard it. “So it would be better if this time ‘selected’ Prime Minister Imran Khan desists from stealing elections from the PML-N,” party spokesperson concluded.
