Bureaucracy reshuffled: DIG Muntazir Mehdi transferred to FIA

The federal bureaucracy saw a wave of significant appointments and transfers as the government issued official notifications confirming the reshuffle, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to details, Kamran Ali Afzal, the current Cabinet Secretary, has been granted an extension in his role as Secretary of National Security.

The notification states that this extension will be counted from July 23, lasting either three months or until a permanent secretary is appointed.

In another major development, DIG Muntazir Mehdi, a Grade-20 officer of the Pakistan Police Service posted in Punjab, has been transferred, and his services have been placed at the disposal of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

These changes follow a round of transfers made just a day earlier. Among them, Muhammad Zafar Jamal Khattak, previously serving as Chief Finance Officer, was posted to the Establishment Division.

Additionally, Assistant Director of Information Haroon Rashid was appointed to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In another move, Section Officer Shoaib Ahmad was transferred from the Establishment Division to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
