Lindsay Lohan dazzles with rare red carpet appearance alongside husband Bader Shammas
Lindsay Lohan made a rare public appearance with husband Bader Shammas as the couple attended the world premiere of Freakier Friday at Hollywood’s iconic El Capitan Theatre.
The 39-year-old Mean Girls star turned heads in a pink rhinestone-strapped Miu Miu gown paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, styled by Andrew Mukamal. She completed her look with waist-length blonde waves by hairstylist Danielle Priano and flawless makeup from Ash K Holm.
Lohan carried a bedazzled microphone, a playful nod to her character’s band, Pink Slip, which recently released a revamped version of their hit “Take Me Away.”
Fans couldn't help but notice Lohan’s more defined features, prompting renewed plastic surgery speculation. While the actress has never publicly confirmed undergoing procedures like a facelift, comparisons with her 2018 photos suggest noticeable changes.
However, when asked by ELLE in May about the rumours, Lohan laughed them off: “I’m like, when? With what time? Where?” She attributed her refreshed appearance to lifestyle changes after becoming a mother.
“My skin changed after having my son [Luai]. It got really sensitive,” she shared. “That’s what really made me change my whole routine and diet and everything. I did blood tests and cut everything out. That’s when things started to change for me.”
Lohan met Shammas, a financier, in 2019 at a Dubai restaurant, three years after she relocated to the UAE. The couple, married for two years, recently celebrated their son Luai’s second birthday. Speaking to ELLE, Lohan hinted at expanding her family, saying, “I need more than one kid to take care of me when I’m older.”
Joining her at the premiere was her longtime co-star and on-screen mom Jamie Lee Curtis, 66, dressed in a striking red mini-dress. The duo reunited to promote the sequel, which they both executive-produced.
Freakier Friday, directed by Nisha Ganatra, marks a return to the beloved mother-daughter body-swap comedy. It’s been 22 years since the original remake, which grossed over $160 million globally. The new film is set to hit theaters in the US and UK on August 8.
