Pakistan, Oman agree to bolster business linkages
Ishaq Dar holds talks with foreign ministers of Oman, Egypt, Australia and New Zealand in Manila
Pakistan and Oman have agreed to further strengthen collaboration through high-level exchanges, enhanced trade and investment, people-to-people contacts, stronger business-to-business linkages and continued coordination at multilateral forums, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
This came at a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister of the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, in Manila on Thursday, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral cooperation.
They also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments.
The Omani Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue, de-escalation and regional peace and security.
Both sides expressed concern over the recent developments in the region. They stressed the importance of upholding the ceasefire, respecting international law and working towards lasting peace and stability in the region.

Dar meets New Zealand FM
Senator Ishaq Dar also met with Winston Peters, Foreign Minister of New Zealand, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum in Manila.
The two leaders reviewed Pakistan-New Zealand bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in trade and investment, sports, and people-to-people exchanges.
They also emphasized enhancing institutional linkages, regular engagement, and high-level exchanges.
They exchanged views on regional and international developments.
Foreign Minister Peters appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role during the recent US-Iran tensions and its efforts to promote dialogue, de-escalation, and regional peace.
The two leaders agreed to remain in close contact.

Australia FM calls on Dar
Ishaq Dar also met with Senator Penny Wong, Foreign Minister of Australia, and the two leaders discussed Pakistan-Australia bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation, including through regular high-level engagement.
They also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
Foreign Minister Wong appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting dialogue and de-escalation.
Both sides noted with concern the recent escalations in the region and stressed that dialogue, diplomacy, and respect for international law remain essential to achieving lasting peace, stability, and security.

Dar holds talks with Egypt FM
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr Badr Abdelatty exchanged views on the situation in Palestine, reiterating their rejection of violence against civilians and illegal settlement activities in the occupied West Bank.
The deputy prime minister attended a dinner meeting hosted by the Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates, on the eve of the ASEAN Regional Forum 2026 in Manila, a DPM’s Office news release said.
The two foreign ministers held wide-ranging discussions on further strengthening Pakistan-Egypt bilateral relations, including trade, investment, economic cooperation, and enhancing collaboration at multilateral forums.
Reviewing developments in the Middle East, both sides underscored the importance of de-escalation and dialogue while emphasizing respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states. They also discussed the broader implications of regional instability, particularly for global maritime trade, energy security, and the world economy.
They also discussed the latest Regional Four consultations in Cairo and reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
