Punjab Govt constitutes Film City Authority Board
The Punjab government has constituted the Punjab Film City Authority Board for a three-year term after approval of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to a notification issued by the CEO of the Punjab Film City Authority, the board has been constituted under Section 3 of the Punjab Film City Authority Act, 2026.
Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has been appointed as chairperson of the board, while Chairman Planning and Development Board has been named vice chairperson.
Provincial Information and Culture Minister Azma Bukhari has also been appointed as a board member.
The notification further stated that MPA Sahibzada Muhammad Ghazi Abbasi, MPA Amina Hassan, MPA Sara Ahmed, Secretary Finance, Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Secretary Information and Culture and Secretary Implementation and Coordination Wing (S&GAD) have been included as members of the board.
Prominent members from the film and creative sector, including Nadeem Mandviwala, Vaneeza Ahmed, Aitzaz Aslam Chaudhry, Amara S. Gondal and Dr. Fawad Baig have also been nominated to the board.
