Punjab to pay July salaries, pensions on July 31

The Punjab government has decided to release July salaries, allowances and pensions to government employees and pensioners on July 31, ahead of the usual schedule.

According to the provincial Finance Department, the advance payment has been approved because August 1 and 2 fall on Saturday and Sunday.

The Punjab governor has approved the payment of salaries, allowances and pensions on July 31.

The Finance Department has issued instructions to the Accountant General Punjab, treasury offices and all district accounts officers to complete the necessary arrangements.

Relevant banks have also been directed to ensure that salaries and pensions are disbursed on July 31.
