ECC okays Rs300m for markets in Balochistan’s border areas

The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Wednesday approved funds of Rs300 million for setting up markets in Balochistan’s border areas, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The committee, which met with Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin in the chair, decided these markets would be set up in the bordering areas of Mand, Gubad and Chaghi districts of the province.

Similarly, the meeting allocated funds of over Rs9 billion for combating the coronavirus and other pandemics in Sindh.

For Frontier Constabulary (FC), it okayed technical supplementary grant of over Rs90 million while Rs25 million for Pakistan Rangers.

The meeting also approved the funds of over Rs30 million for the payment of salaries of employees of the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics.
