Pakistani wrestler Waqas Afzal beat Indian wrestler Abdullah Younis by 2-0 score in World Mas Wrestling Championship held in Russia, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

A 10-member Pakistani delegation is taking part in the mas-wrestling championship. Waqas Afzal is also a member of an international mas-wrestling federation.

Waqas Afzal and another Pakistani wrestler Muhammad Saad qualified for the final round of the championship.

Now, Waqas Afzal will face a Russian wrestler while Muhammad Saad will be facing a wrestler from Kyrgyzstan.

In this game, participants sit in front of each other, prop their feet against the board divides the competition area, and tug on a wooden stick (mas), making sure to keep it parallel to the propping board.

Mas-wrestling demands great muscular strength from the hands, legs, back, and abdominals.
