CM Naqvi says Punjab govt working to improve health sector

Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday said that the provincial government was working for making improvements in the health sector, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a presser at King Edward Medical College in Lahore, he said that it was his government’s endeavor to upgrade facilities at hospitals, especially at government hospitals. “We will do as much as we can,” he assured.

Praising King Edward Hospital, the chief minister said that it was the best in the entire Punjab. “It is our desire to further improve its standards,” he added.   

Punjab CM visits Mayo Hospital

Earlier, CM Naqvi visited Mayo Hospital and stayed there for three hours.

He went round different wards and departments of the hospital, and inquired after the patients.

He also inquired from them about the state of facilities available at the hospital.

The chief minister announced that there would be a complete overhaul of the hospital.

CM Naqvi visits LDA office

Punjab CM also visited the office of Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and inspected functioning of the one-window cell.

He inquired from the visitors about their issues.

The people said they were not satisfied with the performance of the Cell staff at all.

The chief minister showed his displeasure over that.

Commissioner Muhammad Ali Randhawa, LDA Chief Engineer Israr Saeed and Additional DG Captain (r) Shah Mir accompanied the CM on the visit.
