PTI members fail to respond to FIA summons

Three Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members Thursday did not appear before the FIA panel digging into smearing of state organs, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

PTI leaders including Ali Zaidi, Azam Swati and Qasim Suri were accused of running anti-state campaigns on their social media handles.

FIA served them summon notices for 22nd June to which they did not respond. Their absence has been taken as lack of counter explanations.

FIA stated that content against Establishment was shared from the PTI leaders’ accounts and they will be sent another notice after which strict actions will be taken.
