Punjab cabinet okays executive allowance for anti-corruption officers

On the initiative taken by Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the provincial cabinet Friday approved executive allowance for the anti-corruption officers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The anti-corruption officers will be given the same allowance as the secretariat and police officers, official sources have said.

Earlier, there was a huge difference between the salaries of anti-corruption officials and other officers.

Due to the disparity in salaries, good officers used to shy away from being posted in the anti-corruption department.
