TikToker-turned-model arrested in Karachi for drug supply, shocking revelations unfold

Karachi’s South Darakhshan District Police have arrested a woman allegedly involved in supplying drugs to youth in upscale areas of Karachi, a suspect who has now been identified as a TikToker and former model known as Babra alias Bebo.

Exclusive interrogation details obtained by City 21 reveal a dark turn in the life of the accused, who began her career in the limelight but spiralled into the underworld of narcotics.

According to the report, Babra, a resident of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, studied up to the intermediate level and entered the modelling industry in 2007. Her early life was marked by family instability — her parents divorced, and her mother remarried in 2017.

After facing daily domestic disputes in her stepfather’s home, Babra eventually moved to a flat in Muslim Commercial, where she continued modelling and started making TikTok videos, quickly gaining online fame.

However, behind the glitz and glamour, a troubling double life was unfolding. As per police interrogation, Babra began attending dance parties in posh areas where she was introduced to ice (crystal meth) and cocaine. Her addiction reportedly led her to begin supplying drugs at private parties and through personal contacts, particularly in Defence and other affluent neighbourhoods.

Babra also confessed to stealing and disclosed that she has been arrested twice before. She admitted to distributing drugs to young people at elite gatherings and supplying narcotics via various methods.

The case has sparked concern over the growing nexus between social media influencers and illegal activities. Police say investigations are ongoing, and more arrests may follow as the network is uncovered.

Authorities have vowed to intensify surveillance at private parties and monitor online influencers suspected of exploiting their platforms for illegal activities.
