Young woman shot dead in Rawalpindi’s Gulzar-e-Quaid

A tragic incident unfolded in Gulzar-e-Quaid area of Rawalpindi, where a young woman was shot dead by an unknown assailant while crossing a bridge on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to initial police reports, the victim was walking over the bridge when an unidentified suspect opened fire on her. She succumbed to her injuries on the spot, while the assailant managed to escape the scene.

Authorities said that the motive behind the killing remains unclear, and investigations are underway. The woman’s body has been shifted to the hospital for postmortem as part of the ongoing probe.

Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect and are examining CCTV footage from the area to trace the killer.
