Former SP, wife, daughter die in Sargodha head-on collision

A former senior police officer, his wife and daughter breathed their last in a horrible accident in Sargodha on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Former Islamabad SP Imtiaz Ali Shah, his wife Imrana Imtiaz and daughter Nimra Jan died on the spot as a result of tragic head-on collision between a car and Vigo vehicle near Chak 36 Shumali.

Four other people were also injured in the accident who were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Imtiaz Ali Shah and his family members were going to Farooqa from Islamabad when their vehicle met the accident. The driver of the Vigo vehicle escaped from the scene after the accident.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot after getting information and shifted the dead and injured to a nearby hospital.

On the other hand, police have also started an investigation.

Later, Namaz-e-Janaza of the three deceased was offered in Farooqa, a suburban area of Sargodha, which was attended by a large number of people.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and were conducting raids to arrest the driver.
