Lahore Traffic Police blacklists 100 vehicles with highest unpaid E-Challans

The Lahore Traffic Police has tightened the noose around habitual traffic law violators by blacklisting 100 vehicles with the highest number of unpaid e-challans, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.  

According to officials, immediate action will now be taken against these vehicles as soon as the city's surveillance camera system detects them.

The move came after authorities found that one vehicle had violated traffic rules as many as 398 times, while several others had accumulated between 200 and 300 violations.

Traffic police data shows that jumping red lights and lane-line violations are among the most common offences committed by the blacklisted vehicles.

The owners of these vehicles owe millions of rupees in unpaid fines, with outstanding dues for some vehicles reaching up to Rs 500,000.

Officials said the vehicles have been formally blacklisted, and strict legal action has been approved against owners who continue to ignore the penalties.

The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts to improve road discipline, ensure compliance with traffic regulations, and enhance public safety across Lahore.
