All branches of all banks will resume operations from Tuesday, March 24, with minor changes in business hours. Any branch facing the risk of virus spread will be closed temporarily. The State Bank of Pakistan has directed the staff of all banks to keep their service cards and national identity cards with them for identification purposes.
The Punjab government on Monday announced a 14-day partial lockdown in the province as part of efforts to contain coronavirus, which is otherwise spreading at an enormous speed. The Sindh government announced a complete lockdown in the entire province for 15 days on Sunday. Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu and Kashmir governments too have taken some drastic measures to control the ever-increasing spread of novel coronavirus in the country.
