Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday felicitated Shaukat Khanum Memorial (SKM) Cancer Hospital and Research Center team on once again recognition of their services by the world-renowned organisation, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

In a tweet, he said, “Congratulations to the SKM team for another milestone. SKMCH&RC Lhr has been re-accredited by US Joint Commission International. Delighted our world-class services have again been internationally recognised. Our team maintained high-quality standards even during the COVID pandemic.”

PM Imran said this time the recognition was far more important since this time the standards on which the performance of the Shaukat Khanum research team was judged were not only new but also far tougher. 

The prime minister further said in his tweet that so far there were 50 such hospitals the world over which had been judged under the same criterion.
