Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and former senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi has contracted COVID-19, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

Javed Abbasi has quarantined himself at home and sought prayers from his friends and well-wishers. Abbasi’s COVID-19 test report came back positive as he felt unwell for the last two days. 

He remained a member of the Upper House of the Parliament from March 2015 to March 2021 on a technocrat seat.
