Rangers to guard NAB offices during Maryam’s appearance on March 26

The Interior Ministry has approved the deployment of Rangers personnel at the offices of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore, on March 26, the day PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz will appear before the Bureau, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The NAB’s request has now been accepted and the Interior Ministry gave its nod to the deployment of the paramilitary force for external security of the NAB offices in Lahore. However, the inside security of the NAB would be the responsibility of the Bureau and the police.
The NAB has summoned Maryam Nawaz Sharif in connection with Chaudhry Sugar Mills and in illegal land transfer cases on March 26. The anti-corruption watchdog asked Maryam Nawaz to appear with relevant documents.
The PML-N leadership has directed all its members in the national and provincial assemblies from Punjab to accompany Maryam Nawaz to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) at Thokar Niaz Baig in Lahore.
PDM President Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman already maintained that hundreds of thousands of PDM workers including Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl, would also accompany Maryam Nawaz on March 26.
