Opener Abdullah Shafique was given out on the last remaining review taken by the Australian skipper Cumming on Lyon's ball. It took a huge call from Cummins to ask for that review with just one remaining - but it paid off big time with the wicket of Shafique

Abdullah Shafique (75 runs) and Azhar Ali (63) chipped away at Australia's first innings of 391 and made 159 at the end of the first session as both teams went for the lunch break.

Edge! Dropped? Back of a length on fourth stump spins away a touch, Azhar goes back to cut and it flies off a thick edge in between Carey and Smith. Smith reacts very very late reaching one-handed to his left and gets fingertips to it but it doesn't stick.

On Day 2, quick Naseem Shah had earlier staged a spectacular fightback for Pakistan to leave the deciding third Test in the balance.

Pakistan reached stumps on day two at 90 for 1 with in-form Shafique 45 not out and Azhar unbeaten on 30 as the hosts trail by 301 runs. Naseem's brilliant 4 for 58 from 31 overs marked by reverse swing mastery helped restrict Australia and move this match forward with the series deadlocked after two draws in batting friendly conditions in Rawalpindi and Karachi.
