A tragic incident Wednesday took place in Tareda Makhnewala area of Kanganpur as a woman was axed to death by her son, in the name of honour, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, 25-year-old Ashraf killed his real mother and fled the scene.

Kanganpur police and the crime scene team took the body into custody and started collecting evidence.

Teams have been formed to arrest the accused. According to police sources, the accused will be arrested soon.
