Ramazan’s first Taraweeh prayers offered at Holy Kaaba

Hundreds of thousands of faithful offered Isha and Taraweeh prayers on the first night of Ramazan at Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Local citizens, foreign residents and Umrah pilgrims from all over the world had already arrived at Masjid al-Haram to offer Isha and Taraweeh prayers.

In Masjid al-Haram, Imam and Khatib Sheikh Dr Yasir Al-Dusri and Chief of the Haramain Sharifain Administration Dr Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais led Taraweeh prayers.

The Haramain Sharifain administration had ensured all the preparations to welcome the pilgrims.

Arrangements had also been made to supply Zamzam water and perfume Masjid al-Haram.

Supervisors had been appointed to supervise the workers implementing the operational plan.
