The appointment of new Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief secretary lingered on as the federal government has not yet selected anyone from the three names suggested by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

It is pertinent to mention that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has already suggested names of Shahab Ali Shah, Munir Azam and Dr Shahzad Bangash for the post of provincial chief secretary.

While the KP chief minister recommended Shahab Ali Shah for the key post, the Centre has not yet approved the summary; therefore the key post remained vacant.

Due to the delay in appointment, the provincial government was facing problems regarding transfers and postings in the province.
