CM, IG Punjab pay tributes to heroes of Independence movement

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Dr Usman Anwar paid glowing tributes to sacrifices rendered by leaders of the Pakistan Movement, reported the 24NewsHDTV channel on Sunday.

In their separate messages on the occasion of Pakistan Day, the CM and the IGP said that people, with the cooperation of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and security agencies, will foil the nefarious designs of terrorists who wanted to destabilise Pakistan.

The IG Punjab said that today the Punjab Police renewed their commitment to take every possible measure for the welfare and security of the people.

He said that on Pakistan Day, “we should vow to eliminate terrorism and terrorists and criminals from our society so they will not be able to fulfil their evil designs."
