Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos set for summer wedding in Venice
It looks like Lauren Sánchez and Jeff Bezos are gearing up for a lavish summer wedding in Venice, Italy, according to reports.
Sources told Page Six on Saturday that the couple’s nuptials are set to take place over the summer, with Venice as the confirmed location.
Earlier speculation suggested the Amazon founder, 61, and the former journalist, 55, were planning to tie the knot in June aboard Bezos’ $500 million yacht, Koru, off the coast of Italy. While those plans have not been confirmed, the couple appears to be moving forward with their highly anticipated wedding.
Bezos and Sánchez’s romance became official in May 2023, when he popped the question aboard Koru.
Reflecting on the proposal in a November 2023 interview with Vogue, Sánchez admitted she "blacked out a bit" when Bezos presented the ring.
At the time, she also revealed that wedding plans were still up in the air, saying, “We’re still thinking about the wedding, what it’s going to be. Is it going to be big? Is it going to be overseas? We don’t know yet.”
The couple dated for five years before getting engaged, though they kept their relationship private until their respective divorces were finalized.
Bezos was previously married to MacKenzie Scott for 25 years, with whom he shares four children. Meanwhile, Sánchez was married to Patrick Whitesell for 13 years and shares two children with him, along with a third child from a previous relationship with Tony Gonzalez.
With wedding preparations seemingly in full swing, all eyes are now on Venice for what is expected to be one of the most high-profile celebrity weddings of the year.
