Michelle Monaghan has found a special way to connect with her 16-year-old daughter, Willow—through the art of makeup.
The White Lotus star, 48, recently attended an event in New York City celebrating her as U Beauty’s first-ever brand ambassador, where she revealed that her daughter is her go-to makeup artist for special occasions.
“She does makeup beautifully,” Monaghan told People Magazine. “She’s very, very talented. So if I have an event or something, I sit down, and she does my makeup.”
For Monaghan, makeup is more than just a beauty routine—it’s a deeply personal bonding experience.
“Getting to be that close to her face, having her look at me so intensely and being so present with me—I could almost cry,” she admitted.
The Best of Me actress recalled a touching "full-circle moment" when her own mother once asked her to do her makeup for a wedding.
“I was like, ‘Wow, I’m asking Willow to do my makeup, and my mom is asking me to do hers.’ It’s such an intimate, lovely experience,” she shared.
Monaghan, who shares Willow and her 10-year-old son, Tommy, with her husband Peter White, treasures these small yet meaningful moments of connection.
