Murder or suicide: 22-year-old woman shoots herself in Shikarpur

A 22-year-old married woman allegedly shot herself dead in the jurisdiction of Jhan Wah Police Station near Mian Sahib in Shikarpur, Sindh, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Sunday.

According to police sources, the deceased, identified as Haleemaan Bibi, was found with a gunshot wound in her home. Her body was shifted to the local hospital for necessary medico-legal procedures.

Following the incident, police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation to determine whether it was a case of suicide or honour killing.

The victim’s family insists that she took her own life in a moment of emotional distress, but police are not ruling out the possibility of honour killing.

Law enforcement authorities have started questioning the woman’s relatives and analysing forensic evidence to uncover the truth behind her tragic death.
