Pakistan Day celebrated in Jeddah

An event was held in Pakistan’s Consulate in Jeddah to mark Pakistan Day, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Pakistan Consul-General Khalid Majeed, Secretary-General of OIC Science and Technology Aftab Ahmad Khokhar, and other officials of the Consulate were also present on the occasion.
The National Anthem of Pakistan was played on the occasion, after which participants vowed to work tirelessly for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
During the ceremony, messages from the President, Prime Minister, and Foreign Minister were delivered.
Addressing the participants, Consul-General Khalid Majeed highlighted historical facts of the Pakistan movement.
He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia always enjoyed very friendly and cordial relations, which will be strengthened in the future.
Consul-General Khalid Majeed said that brotherly ties between the two countries are already based on historical depth.
Both countries are taking measures to strengthen these ties in different fields in the future.
The participants paid glowing tributes to the sacrifices of those who sacrificed their lives while defending their homeland. They said that sacrifices of our martyrs will be remembered forever.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the participants said that this event renewed their love and affection for Pakistan. They prayed to Almighty Allah for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
They said that “we are optimistic about the bright future of Pakistan."
