K-Electric says power supply restored in Karachi

The Karachiites, who suffered a hell of a day when the city witnessed a major power breakdown on Saturday amid hot and humid weather conditions, heaved a sigh of relief when the electricity was restored in almost all areas of the megacity, reported 24News HD TV channel.
According to a video statement of the spokesperson of K-Electric on Sunday, almost all commercial and residential areas’ feeders had been back on their full capacity.

The spokesperson said that residents of the areas which are still deprived of power supply can contact Karachi Electric through its telephone helpline service i.e. 118 or SMS helpline service i.e. 8119. He said both services were fully operative. He also asked the residents that they could register their complaints regarding power outages on K-Electric social media platforms.
He said for now the supply demand did match the generation capacity. He said the K-Electric officials handled the situation professionally.

He said K-Electric worked in collaboration with NTDC and Energy and Power Ministry in a bid to restore the power supply.
He thanked the customers for their cooperation.
